This thread is simply going to explain how certain groups, systems and the likes work around the forum. It is, so to speak, a more detailed guide to certain specific areas you may or may not be interested in.
Now, due to your main admin's obsession to keep everything neat and organized to the extreme, each subject will be dealt with in a separate post, as a reply to this thread. So please scroll down and find whichever subject is your current concern.
If you think something belongs or should be explained in here, go to the Questions & Suggestions section, and find a sticky thread called "Detailed Explanations". Post there and inform us of anything you think in relation with the information that should or shouldn't be in here.

AkatsukiAs we all know, the Akatsuki is an organization consisting of wanted S-class criminals. Their goals are to achieve world domination, utilizing funds and capturing the Bijuu to be sealed and serve their purpose. There are ten rings, each worn on a different finger, and that means ten members. However, that has hardly meant replacing the dead ones in a mandatory, urgent fashion. Uchiha Madara runs Akatsuki. However, only Pein, Konan, Zetsu, Itachi and Kisame may be aware of this fact, while the other members will think Pein is the leader. As such, all of Madara's orders go to them through Pein. With the exception of Zetsu, Akatsuki works in two-man teams: - Pein and Konan
- Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame
- Sasori and Deidara / Deidara and Tobi (depending on which exact period of time time the RP's plot is set in)
- Kakuzu and Hidan
The members of Akatsuki do not meet in person! Only those carrying a Jinchuuriki will arrive to bring their capture for the sealing process, while the rest will use an astral projection technique to assist. Pein may contact the other members telepathically and appoint them tasks or let them know when and where a meeting will be taking place. On this forum, the Akatsuki will not be accepting full-time members from the ranks of OCs. However, some may be recruited as spies, informers, agents and the likes. Only at Madara or Pein's orders, however.

TravelingGoing out of your village for a walk or for a bit of training is fine. But. If you are a shinobi of a certain country, you do NOT randomly decide to leave your village and go to another. That's the fist rule. Unless you are betraying your village to move to another, as part of a cooperative plot with someone there. Otherwise, you will need good, in-character reasons to go anywhere outside of your village (and/or its immediate outskirts). If you have such reasons, then you may travel. However, though you are not required to post everywhere to point out all the places your character passes through, there are a few requirements: - The Rain Country is different. Access to it is restricted, so you must do either of: (1) post at the borders of it before you arrive or leave [in which case you wait for the NPC account or some character assigned to guard them replies]; or (2) start your thread directly inside or outside, but come up with a credible way your character(s) managed to sneak past the check-points.
- Not everyone knows about secret tunnels, whether they're from Otogakure or the Bird Country, or any other place. If you haven't been told *in RP* by a canon who should know, then you can't find/use them.
To help you and keep you from making any wrong mentions in your RP (for example, aberrations such as that the Sea Country borders Suna), we will be shamelessly stealing posting a world map soon. We'll modify this post to say so when it's done.

Missions
To request a mission, you can at any time walk into the office of your village kage or other leader figure. They are obligated to respond and give you something to do.
Now, be mindful and do not abuse this. Seriously, Tsunade, Gaara, the NPCs can easily send your character to the other end of the world to help plant trees. We'll really give you any mission you request, given that you PM us with your idea and explanations.
But make sure you have an RP partner before you do this, or else what are you going to do? Go there and do what, if no one joins in?
Otogakure and Amegakura are obvious exceptions to this rule. It's obviously for realism reasons, since you don't just walk up to Orochimaru or Pein and ask them to give you a task. It's doubtful just anyone would be able to find them, in the first place. So you can PM and discuss a plot where the respective one of the two has some use for your character, if you really want to be sent some place to do whatever.

Avoid Frequent Jutsu MistakesThis is a list of mistakes that we've seen made a lot of times and would like to keep our members from posting. More specifically, the wrong usage or description of a certain jutsu. - Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement/Substitution Technique). This technique works through a quick swap of places between the user and an object nearby. Not ten miles away. Also, I've seen people use logs while they were inside a building. And where, pray tell, did the log come from? Be sensible and please use objects that could actually belong to the setting you're in.
- Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique). The frequent mistake here is assuming it teleports the user. It does not. It merely increases their speed to such rates that not even the Sharingan can track those moves, but they are still performed. Therefore, the user still has to move each and every single inch of the way from the initial point to the final one. It's just... real quick.
