Name: Hensogakure
Description: As the name suggests, the kekkei genkai's strength lies within the their ability, to greatly enhance the users disguise, blending in, as well as hiding skills. This improvement comes from the ability of complex and deep cell manipulation. People who inherit this bloodline are able to nearly completely erase their presence from others through their techniques. The most important skill is that they're able to blend/morph with their surroundings/environment. This ranges from things like trees or a carpet of grass, to actual objects, like a wall, a statue, or anything with a volume large enough to contain the shinobi. Although the ability to morph with inorganic things is much more difficult. Wooden objects (even dead), are easier. High level individuals are rumored to even blend with humans, although that would be very dangerous if it would go wrong. Anyways, in that state they aren't traceable by sight, hearing or other senses. The scent will actually stop at some point before the place where he "disappeared" into, confusing any trackers. The only one who could notice it are Byakugan users, who would see the chakra in the object. Also "feeling the presence" is impossible, unless the user radiates a killing intent, which you could feel (but not from where).
But that isn't everything. Camouflage techniques have also been developed, that are useful for when the user is on the move. Although such are only surface changes and can even be performed to a certain extent by 'normal' people. Users of the kg trained such techniques and henge from a very early day to drive them into perfection, as in activation time or chakra-usage. The ability to morph is actually so good, that henge jutsu isn't at a traceable level any more. Because unlike normal shinobi, it isn't genjutsu or ninjutsu, but actual body manipulation. As long as they have the chakra left, they could morph into anything. Although they use normal henge, if it isn't absolutely necessary. The extent of this Bloodline-Limit in the end, is that they could transform themselves into another shape and stay like that "forever".
Advantages: - the level of stealth they can be achieved is abnormal - permament and complex body manipulation
Disadvantages: - The places you can hide and the changes you can undergo are limited to your size, as well as your skill - body changes can be painful and are tiring; not only is there chakra necessary, but so are nutrients/"indrigents" - repeated morphing reduces your cells reproduction capabilities and thus shortening your lifespan, even if you can obtain something like "eternal youth", it ain't that "eternal"
Physical changes: The original appearance of the users solely depends on their parents and their genetic material. If they inherit the bloodline, THEY will undergo physical changes how they like. Although there are limits. Changing their physical body is possible, but the greatest 'fault' is that you can't change your genetic material or your hormone production. So your body will grow up as normal and speeding up regeneration of that body is not in the realm of possibilities. You make yourself bigger than you actually are. The "original" body can only undergo changes of what that body possesses already. It's like the principle of equivalent exchange. If you are a ten year old, small boy, you can't suddenly change into a 2m hulk of a man. You can only make small steps or just make minor changes in the structure. Consuming nutrients with much variety is of great help for that. Basically if you're a "big-boned" guy, you can morph into more things, like make yourself taller and "stretch" out. Although it also depends more on what meat you have, instead of fat. So physical training is still necessary. In retrospective, you can "downgrade" your body easier. "Excess material" can be changed into biological waste or if the user is highly skilled and has the knowledge/experience, to strengthen the body from within. Turning back once you changed, is limited as normal changes, so don't do anything too irreverseable. These changes maybe difficult, but they are permanent.
From that limitations for example, the only thing impossible is an actual sex change. Because even if they can change the body and the organs to look female. Things like hormone production or genetic code are next to impossible. So you aren’t able to produce eggs/sperms if you are of the opposite gender. Also be aware, that your brain and hormones stays the same (and it should, if not it could be troublesome and you end up as a vegetable). So even if you have morphed into a female, you would still grow a beard, and are affected by normal male behavio} and tendencies, depending on the original body. You also won’t start to be attracted to persons of the opposite gender, if you didn't do it before. No getting or making others (or worse, yourself) pregnant with that method either (but this can be seen as an advantage). You may have the organs, but your body doesn't have the "information" from genes and thus hormones to prepare itself. For example, even if you insert a zygote-egg, the body wouldn't "know" what to do with it; not to mention things like umbilical cords.
History: There was once a clan of body manipulators. Although they had a family name, they were called "Morphs", "Changelings" and other names by outsiders. In the old age, where Ninja Villages weren't developed their clan was infamous, although they were hard to find. But once you could get into contact, they would gladly be hired as infiltrators, spies and scouts. Their ability was envied by some people, but not to that extent. That is until the old medical ninjutsu got more popular and developed even further and fused with modern medicine. The scientists who knew of them got very interested and so started the hunt for "specimens", to research those people who some believed to hold the key for eternal youth.
The manhunt began, although they were not known by the general public and even most shinobi, those who knew AND where interested became a big source of danger. Resulting in a nomadic life style and even scattering of a few individuals who only had contact through a certain network with themselves and others. The clan was in the decline and split up into small families. Resulting that it was believed that they became extinct. Those that were captured always died through spectacular ways of suicide, as some families even had begun to develop suicide techniques or implant bombs into themselves.
There are nearly no known survivors. Although it is rumored in the sound by those who could remember that old clan, whose name got forgotten over the time, that the brothers Sakon&Ukon were of that clan or at least descendants. Kurenai Ryouga is also a survivor of that clan. Although his branch of family were all killed by an unknown enemy that was either after their secrets or jealous of their abilities.

Background:This set of physical conditions transmitted by bloodline could count as a very recently started kekkei genkai, but it has not been labeled as such by the officials yet, so it is not formally called one. The idea that it would be a bloodline limit, and perhaps the humble start of a clan, still only circulates as a rumor or supposition of people with no better occupations than to speculate. And the number of those who know is not that great, either, since the family carrying it always was small and pretty discreet or secretive about its affairs. Despite that, the Kage (or leader) of the village that Hatoyama Hiroshi and his daughter live in has been well aware of the genes passed down to Satsuki from the female part of her bloodline for the past three generations, as have the many medic nin and doctors those generations have made contact with in hopes for a higher life expectancy for the affected females. However, if anything, the Kage (or leader) has been very reserved about drawing any conclusions of what to think about the matter, and the doctors would be much quicker to label these traits as symptoms of a disease, rather than call it a potentially useful kekkei genkai. As such, this condition does not have a name yet, and those people gossiping about have only been calling it "the (insert last name of the carrier at that time) thing".History:The first person that this type of chakra manifested in was Osaragi Chiyoko, a young woman who had not shown any particular signs of possessing it as a child. It is true that Chiyoko tired quicker than others and that she was quite pale, as well as that she found it easier than most people to resist or break Genjutsu, even those of a level higher than her own. At the same time, she was much more resistant to chakra-based medical treatment than other shinobi, and it was difficult to heal her that way. She was examined briefly, but nothing conclusive was discovered. However, it was not only until she was 23 that the true effects began to manifest rapidly and devastate her body. In less than four months from the first signal of severe weakening in her body's bone structure, Chiyoko died of an acute case of osteoporosis. It remained unclear to doctors what exactly had caused this quick process of decay, and more so since they, at the family's request, were prevented from performing any thorough check on the corpse. The matter was dropped, in the end, and forgotten as life moved on.
Three years later, Chiyoko's younger brother, Osaragi Kouhei, married the beautiful and quiet Sawamatsu Ayame, an old friend of his dearly departed sister, and soon enough they had a child. This child was also female, and they wished to name her Chiyoko, in the memory of the deceased sister. However, Kouhei's parents (Osaragi Nobu and Saromi Keiko) opposed such wishes and told their son that it was not wise, as the name might bring bad luck to their child. As such, the little girl was called Misaki instead. Osaragi Misaki, too, seemed to be a healthy child. Even healthier than her aunt had seemed at her age, as she had color in her cheeks and loved to run around the village with other kids. Until one day when, aged 11 at that time, she came home with a broken leg, claiming she had done nothing in particular and that she was only training the art of tree-climbing with her friends. Kouhei and Ayame, wary of such things due to obvious reasons, asked the medic nin who were taking care of this to also take blood samples from their daughter, and anything else necessary to perform a full test of her health conditions. They noticed, on this occasion, that the chakra-based healing was a very difficult and slow process with Misaki, as it had been with Chiyoko before, as well. But since they did not want to scare their child, they said nothing to little Misaki. At that time, Ayame was also pregnant with what would soon be born into Misaki's little brother, Naoki.
In Misaki's blood, the medic nin discovered a shortage of calcium, and they told the parents that this was relatively an easy condition to treat, as long as they brought the child in once a week. Kouhei and Ayame were glad to do so, and little Misaki was from then on, for a year, brought in every week to receive chakra therapy meant to speed up the calcium absorption process of her body, and to balance the level in her blood back to normal. Of course, no one noticed that this wasn't working for some reason, and so Misaki's life continued in pretty much a normal fashion, although there were rumors around kids her age and their parents, saying that she was going to suffer the same fate Chiyoko had, because her parents had refused to name her that, and so the spirit of Kouhei's older sister was expressing its displeasure by cursing her. No one important paid enough mind to those rumors. Furthermore, as soon as he was old enough to be able to withstand blood extraction, Naoki was also analyzed, and it was discovered that he did not have any sort of calcium deficiency like his older sister. Future tests at older ages would give the same results in his case.
It was also around this time that another sad event struck the Osaragi family, and this was that Nobu and Keiko disappeared together one day on a mission, never to be found again. Their party had been attacked by enemies, and the only two surviving members who made it back to the village reported that their corpses, along with one other, were nowhere to be found. They had probably been captured alive, to be tortured and interrogated about the village, and as true shinobi, they would surely have died without divulging any information. Nothing more was heard of this, although much later on, in the times of Tomomi and Reika, when the family's chakra type was finally discovered, rumors would sprout. These rumors would say that Nobu and Keiko were actually the creators of that chakra and that their disappearance had been merely a setup so that they would not be discovered and brought to face the consequences. What truly happened there, however, was to remain a mystery, and difficult to tell.
The fact remained that the treatments were having no effect on Misaki, either, like they hadn't worked on Chiyoko before, and the girl began to get weaker by the day. She was only 17 when she died, not having even reached adulthood, and her brother was too little to realize too much of what was going on. However, as he grew older and his parents spoke to him about his sister, he came to be reluctant to have children of his own. However, he got married young, at only 19, to a stubborn woman by the name of Kasaya Mai. She was far more energetic than him, and most of the times he did as she said in order to avoid conflict. Perhaps in parts he treated her as the older sister he had gotten to spend all too little time with, and whose presence in his life he missed. Either way, Mai wanted children, and so although he still would have thought it better not to have any, the last word was hers, since no effort was taken to prevent that possibility. Mai's opinion was that Naoki's decision not to have a child was pure cowardice on his part, and that he was only afraid of getting hurt. This is why he gave in and agreed to have just one, so it didn't look quite so bad when the child they had was a female, especially since the little girl seemed healthy. They named her Tomomi.
As Tomomi grew up, she was closely monitored by her grandparents, and, when they passed away, by her father. They watched her for the signs that both Chiyoko and Misaki had exhibited before her, such as resistance to Genjutsu and to medical chakra healing, but these seemed to be very reduced and close to non-existent in her. The calcium deficiency level in her blood was also there, and grew with age, but not to great proportions at all. The parents took the freedom to interpret that as a sign that, although she too had whatever the other two Osaragi females before her had been sick with, it was affecting her far less. They felt entitled to think that, since the gene had grown weaker down one generation, there was no reason why it would not continue to do so with the next, and their daughter might actually have a healthy child. Naoki, who was a smart man, as well as had specialized in medical jutsu, came with the idea of attempting to examine Tomomi's chakra, and it was thus that the strange type was discovered. After a lot of studying, it could only be assumed that the different chakra came from a gene that had somehow been transmitted down their family line by blood. It seemed clear that it only manifested in females, although male members could be carriers. However, despite the fact that many studies were conducted in relation to that chakra, any attempt to discover what gene exactly it was that created it remained fruitless. But at least some effects of it were determined, as well as what exactly it did to the body. Naoki was able to take down some useful notes. In consequence, Tomomi was able to receive appropriate treatment from civilian doctors, consisting of periodic calcium chloride shots, which further increased her already bright life expectancy.
With that, Tomomi was able to live a normal life, and she did not worry overmuch about the possible fates of her future children when she got married to the man she loved, Kawagichi Isamu. Everything signaled the end of that affliction, and even the change of last name that the children would have (since they would take on the father's, not hers) was regarded as a good sign from the Gods. Isamu was also a very religious man, so he enforced that way of thinking as well, praying for good fortune and believing with all his heart that his wishes would be granted. Their first child came very soon after they were married, when Tomomi wasn't even 20 yet, and it was a girl. Although they had still, only secretly in their hearts, hoped for a male, they were not very distressed. They named her Reika, and she lived up to that, growing into a very pretty young girl. Now, the problem with this was that Reika wasn't a very healthy child and, contrary to their expectations, she displayed a more acute condition than any of the others had before. Even Misaki, although in Reika's case the discovered treatment helped a great deal, and she was able to live a relatively peaceful life, even though the doctors were skeptical about her even making it to 30 years of age. Tomomi, however, although her condition worsened with age as well, was still healthy enough, so she deluded herself that things would still be fine. Her husband, however, was far more practical and he realized the truth. What they had hoped for was no longer possible, and Reika's state was the proof of it. He tried to persuade his wife that their daughter shouldn't have any husband, not to mention children, and that this madness should stop right there. But Tomomi wouldn't listen, as she wanted to see Reika married, at least, if she couldn't have children.
Reika herself agreed more with her father, but it was not her choice much, since she fell in love against her will with the young and charming Hatoyama Hiroshi. The young man was reckless and loved to take risks, so his love of life managed to get through even Reika's determination. When he promised that he was fine with a life in which it would be just them and no children at all, ever, Reika finally gave in and agreed to marry him. She too, as though this had been some sort of tradition in her family, was under 20 when she got married, a very young age despite which she still had found the right man. To make things even more joyous for her, two years after she and Hiroshi had been married, it was her mother and not her that had another child. Reika's little brother, for yes, it was a male, was named Tetsuya. These two events, however, were balanced by the not insignificant shadow cast by the deaths of Tomomi's parents. However, they had been old and their time had come, a lot later than it did for many shinobi, so no one mourned more than necessary.
But that was where the family's good luck ended, for, as we all surely must know by now, they made a mistake and Reika found herself pregnant even despite their good intentions of not having babies. This put further strain on the already fragile relationship between Tomomi and Isamu, which finally resulted with him taking little Tetsuya and leaving his wife, to live some place far away. Despite even that, in the hopes that hers and Hiroshi's descendant would be male, Reika kept and gave birth to the child that would later prove to be Satsuki. As already known (from character bio), Tomomi died one week later, believed by the family to have committed suicide due to their poor material condition that caused them to want to give Satsuki up for adoption, and Reika also died early on in her daughter's life. All that was left was Hiroshi with his daughter, a thing that changed him from the ambitious and risk-loving young man into a responsible and very prudent adult. At one point, he also received a letter from Tetsuya, whom he calculated to be around 12 years old at that time. He seemed to be a very smart child, however, announcing in very clear terms in his letter that Isamu had passed away, and that he had been investigating the origins of the strange chakra in their bloodline. There were no further news from Tetsuya afterwards, though, and he had not said where he was, but only hinted vaguely that Isamu seemed to have believed there was substance to the rumors that said Nobu and Keiko had created that chakra, and doomed their entire bloodline to suffering from this affliction.Mechanics:These are the observations that resulted from Naoki's discovery and study of the special type of chakra in his family, which led to applying the calcium chloride shot treatment to successfully stall the detrimental health condition's development.
- The chakra is modeled and passed down into the family by a certain mutated human gene, the identity of which has not been discovered yet.
- Male members of the family are carriers of the gene, but for some reason that hasn't been determined yet, their chakra develops normally, unlike that of female members that carry the gene.
- In the case of female members, the gene produces a mutation of their chakra which attacks the calcium in their bodies. In its initial stage, it consumes the small amounts of calcium found in the blood, which is why the shots are able to delay it by introducing calcium into the blood, but once the levels there become too low, the chakra attacks the bone structure itself for the calcium it needs to sustain its constant regeneration. This is especially bad since the bone structure is weak already, since most of the calcium it needed to take from the blood in order to develop properly over time has been eaten by the same chakra instead.
- As seen, this chakra's nature is to consume and disintegrate. Although it sustains itself on calcium, its nature is also hostile to any other type of chakra introduced within the body, which will also be immediately attacked and decomposed. Since Genjutsu relies on introducing (by any means at hand) the caster's chakra into the target's nervous system, this is the explanation to how and why Genjutsu fails quickly on bearers of this chakra type.
Benefits:The only benefit that this chakra type offers its bearer is that it consumes and decomposes any foreign chakra entering the body. This is especially useful, as stated, when resisting Genjutsu, since the chakra necessary to activate it will be consumed and the technique will have little to absolutely no effect on the bearer. This happens regardless of the nature and origin of that Genjutsu, and regardless of whether the bearer knows it is being cast on him or her, since the chakra's action inside of his or her body is independent of willpower.
Additionally, regardless of the fact that they would still suffer small amounts of external damage in those cases, any physical attacks that involve being struck with pure or raw chakra would be prevented from causing any serious internal damage that way. (Of course, if the attack had strength or an elemental nature, that type of damage would still be taken fully. This only refers to chakra that is not modeled into anything else, such as for example the Chakra Scalpel technique.)Drawbacks:There are two major drawbacks to having this chakra type in one's body.
One As already explained, this type of chakra has disastrous effects on the bearer's health. The bones do not develop properly since there is a permanent shortage of calcium in the body, which results in their being extremely fragile and vulnerable against any impact. The carrier will also feel very weak and tired a lot of the time, and will need more sleep than a normal person to sustain themselves. Their memory will also be awkward and their thought processes may be slower in most cases than those of an average person could be, although their overall capacity and intelligence, of course, is unaffected since it depends on other factors. They will also need to consume a lot of calcium-rich foods, such as dairy products. And eventually, even despite that special diet and the calcium chloride injections, the level of calcium in the blood will simply become insufficient, in which case the chakra will attack and decompose parts of the bone structure, which results in osteoporosis and inevitable premature death.
Two As stated, this type decomposes any other kind of chakra that enters its carrier's body. As a result, even despite it being useful to ward against hostile action, it is also unresponsive against beneficial action. As such, it will not discriminate and still decompose any chakra being used to heal the carrier from outside, so regular medical jutsu does not work properly (or at all) on the carriers of this gene.

My character is based heavily on her kekkai genkai, so I sure hope this is is worthy of approval. Here goes:
The bloodline limit itself is named the slashing breeze, and like its name may suggest, it is quite swift and formidable. Its actual origin is unknown, though it was said to have come from before even the time of the village's first Kage, Toshi Myojinchimaru. To even possess the slashing breeze at all is uncommon among its clan members.
Those who possess the Shikaze bloodline limit are able to make their body disperse into many flower petals. The edges of these small petals can cut deeply like razors and can also drift in the air as means of escape or travel. Every person with this bloodline limit has different color petals. My character has black flower petals, with a tint of violet on the other side.
Such a person can either turn their entire body or just a portion of themselves into the flower petals, including their clothes and equipment. The person has complete control over each individual petal and can use them to evade many physical attacks with ease, but can also feel pain through them since they are still considered part of the user's body.
Like typical flower petals, they can be damaged or burned, which could harm the user when they return to their normal state. If enough of the petals are damaged or burned, the user will be forced to regress back into their original human form but in a badly weakened state. If this happens, the person cannot disperse into petals unless healed by other means. Unfortunately, if any petals are lost, an equal size portion of the person's human form will also be missing. This is because that lost petal is no longer able to join with the others. However, one benefit here is that each petal has a genetic copy of the person's entire bodily layout. This can come in handy for when petals are lost. For instance, if a petal is formed from the person's brain and is burned away or destroyed, that part of the person's mind does not have to be missing forever. Any other flower petal can take its place, and instead a less valuable piece of the person's body will be gone. Like a sliver off their arm's skin could be gone instead, for instance. If a part of them is missing this way, they will not bleed from it.
In addition to the scattered petal state, there is more potential for those who orginate from deeper within the bloodline. Only a clan member born with a small bud srouting from their head would have that potential. Toshi Myojinchimaru has prophecized that such a possibility is one in a million.
The flower that sprouts from the person's head will grow and develop as the person does, and also allows them two extra gifts, though it is likely only one of these two will be realized.
The first is being able to take on an additional form. To do so, the person will scatter into petals, then have them all converge into one place. From there, the petals will gather and collect into the form of an eighteen-inch-high flower, which looks exactly like the very flower which grows from the person's head. In this state, the person can gradually re-grow the petals on their own, so long as they remain undisturbed. Great concentration in this form is required for any healing to be possible, and it is a very time-consuming process. This regeneration takes over one hour to grow a single petal, but if the person blossoms in a spot where they can absorb enough sunlight it can help speed up the process a bit. Such a person possesses no means of locomotion while in a bossom form, but is always fully conscious of their surroundings. If a threat were to arise, the person can release petals for protection, but it will interrupt the healing process.
The second gift, however, is strictly forbidden. Literally. It is often referred to as the clan's 'forbidden curse,' because that is how the people treat it. Not all flower-bearing clan members can meet the potential to utilize the ability. In fact, not one person alive today (not even my character) has been able to reveal the true potential behind their flower at all. Only two people have been able to utilize its effects. One was the first Kage, Toshi Myojinchimaru. The second was Yuresai Dekou, a person who was actually so evil that all vestiges of him had to be deleted from all of clan history. To even know Yuresai's name was considered a grave conspiracy, for such knowledge was not meant (or allowed) to be shared.
Toshi's prophecy did not allow too many details to be explained in the battle they had fought many years ago, and for a very good reason. He had felt that any person who bore a flower from their head could have been capable of unleashing its true identity, which, according to him, was a terror beyond imagination. Toshi himself could not even fully control his flower's secret, and he was afraid of what a person could do if they had merely scratched the surface of its potential. He was too afraid to use it at all, or let anyone else be able to.
After winning his battle with Yuresai, Toshi was so afraid of someone else gaining such power that he had to assume they would be a grave danger to anyone. It was something he had to prevent. Toshi had to make certain that all historical documents and information whatsoever about this forbidden part of the clan's kekkai genkai that could lead to any knowledge of the ability were to be eliminated. Even what the ability itself could do was not to be mentioned, and it was from that point on, deemed as a curse. Not a trace of evidence was allowed to be known by anybody, for he was too afraid it could fall into the wrong hands. As a resuly, anybody born with a flower growing from their head was considered a vile threat which would have to be dealt with.
(By the way, my character may have the flower in her hair but I have no intention of giving her the forbidden feature at all, let alone revealing it or even making up what it does. It's just there as an element of mystery, for the sake of telling the character's story. It plays a big part in her past.)

I like this idea, and the way you calculated the details. <3
However, the one part I'm not sure about is the Kage. I have no knowledge of a character with that name existing in Naruto, so I'm assuming he's also your own creation. Did you, by any chance, actually mean the clan's founder instead of Kage? Because, for example, if, after you make your character, she is sorted into a village like Konoha (where we already know who all the Kages were), or into a village that doesn't even have a Kage, this bit is going to conflict.
That's the only unclear thing, but as for the kekkei genkai itself, it needs no clarification and it is to be considered approved already.

Thanks for approving the ability. And yes, I made Toshi up.
I didn't think of the Kage part, but I think I understand what you're saying. The thing is, my character eventually left her village and moved to a new one (which will be wherever you place her). Sorry if that part was not mentioned here, but it will be in her later character application. I decided to submit the kekkai genkai first since I based her so much from it. If it was wrong, I'd have to change the character around so I figured this would make things easier.
Toshi is Kage in the village where my character originated from, not wherever she's going to wind up after she left. In other words, Toshi will not be the Kage wherever you decide to place her, since he was already the Kage of a different village. I made sure not to mention which actual village my character originated from to prevent similar confusion, so she could be from anywhere for all we know.
I hope I'm making sense, and I hope I'm understanding your point... but if that didn't help, then it's probably easier if we just say Toshi is the village founder instead. Whichever fits better, I guess. Which do you prefer?
