You are required to do the following things:
Place [END] in your post when it is the last one, and the thread's plot is finished.
Place [Continued in (ThreadNameHere)] in the last post of a thread whose plot is continued in another thread. Also, replace 'ThreadNameHere' with the new thread's name.
Place [Continued from (ThreadNameHere)] at the top of the first post in a thread that continues the plot of another. Replace 'ThreadNameHere' with the old thread's name.
This will help people who would like to read what's been going on around the place. To look for a thread, scroll to the bottom of the page and find the small search box (below chat box), then type its title in there. Make sure the second button is the one that's checked, so Google will only search this board, not all of the web.
The thread's title determines who will be allowed to join it. Here is what you can write in it and what it will mean:
[Closed] -- If this mention is in the title, it means it is completely off limits. No one but its creator may RP in there. This is usually for when you want to write a small storyline featuring your character and (maybe) its NPCs. Also, it is the only case where double posting is allowed.
[Name] -- If a character's name shows up in the thread's title, it means that character is expected to reply to it and NO ONE else may join in. Don't do this without PMing the player and agreeing on it first, or they can feel entitled to not come into your thread at all. If multiple characters are expected, list them all, separated by commas.
[Name + Open] -- This means the named character's player has agreed to join the thread and will be there, but the thread is also open to anyone else for joining.
[Open] -- Anyone may join a thread that says open. A thread with none of the mentions in its title will automatically be considered open, too.
That's all.
