Character's Full Name:
Hitamatori Takara
Is the character a ninja?
Yes
Character's Appearance:
Deep blue eyes with a light twinkle about them, Takara is a decent height of five foot six. She finds posture rather important, thus, she stands rather straight most of the time. She has long hair that extends down to the middle of her back. Her hair color is black, which contrasts with her blue eyes and pale skin. She looks as if she were lacking sun, but, this is not the case. She simply doesn't tan.
Takara has a lean figure. She weighs one hundred twenty pounds, but quite a bit of it is muscle. If it weren't for her toned condition and strength, she would probably appear to be quite scrawny. Her arms, though they look like any average female's arms, are very strong. They do not bulge, however, for she doesn't push it as to over-tone them. She finds that kind of look to be disgusting to look at on a female's body, and still not that handsome on a man.
Her body has shape to it. Her bust isn't unusually large, but she isn't flat chested, either. She doesn't really care either way about this. One might say that her shape is quite curvy. All she would say to this is that most people aren't straight lines. For a nineteen year old, her face is slightly childish. Still, you can just barely tell her age through her height, figure and tone of voice.
When it comes to clothing, Takara prefers an outfit that she can easily move in. Under her outfit, she wears a basic white body suit. This is mostly for the support she feels from wearing it. A typical top for her would extend just past the hip, yet cling to her body. Once again, this is for support and ease of movement. The sleeves are usually short and wavy. She finds these waves cute, yet decent for going into battle with.
With this shirt, Takara wears her forehead protector as a belt which she fastens tightly around her waist. She usually will wear a pair of Capri pants that stop just above the ankle. Her shoes are typical of a shinobi. Starting at the base of her ankle, these durable shoes extend down over her foot. The base is even more durable than the rest of the shoe. This is noticeable, being they have a slight lift about them. At the base of the toe knuckle, the top of the shoe cuts off, exposing the toes. She finds this to be more comfortable.
The usual colors for her outfit include a navy top and shoes and white pants. Takara's more experimenting side is shown through her outfit in the form of the three earrings she wears on each ear, the ribbon the she weaves around the strands of hair on each side of her head that fall just in front of the ear and the choker she wears around her neck. On occasion, she will wear white leather gloves with protective metal on them. Of course, the village symbol is engraved on them. On her back, she carries her puppet. It is wrapped in the same style Kankurou wraps his puppet.
Brief Character History:
From birth, Takara was destined to be a shinobi. She had inherited the clan Kekkei Genkai, after all. It was just destiny. Her path had been set. She was told this when she was young. Of course, she had no choice in this matter. This upset the young Takara. She felt it unfair that even before the age of one her path had been chosen for her.
Her mother tried to help her cope with this. She distracted the girl's mind from the fact by teaching her housework, such as cleaning and cooking. Takara found the cleaning to be quite the boring chore, but, she took a shine to cooking. She became very good at it, too. Her mother was just happy that her daughter's mind had been taken off the fact that her life was already partially planned out for her.
When she became of age, Takara reluctantly started at the shinobi academy. At first, she kept her sunny disposition throughout the lessons. One day, however, one of the instructors told them about the duty of a shinobi. They explained that they were merely human tools. That they were to give their lives to protect the village if need be. This made Takara see everything in a new light. Being a shinobi was really nothing to smile at. It was something to take very seriously. She realized that to stay alive--To keep her village alive--she would need to train hard and be the best she could possibly be.
It was a bit odd for her family, at first, when Takara, the one who was unwilling at first to become a shinobi, began training every day until her mother would have to drag her inside for dinner and then once more to go to bed every night. Her grades excelled and her precision became excellent. She had various marks on her body from kunai scratches and burns from practicing her jutsu. Still, she just kept at it.
Though all of this, however, her attitude at home didn't change much at all. True enough, she took training very seriously. Still, when she was at dinner or at a party with family or friends, she would be as light-hearted and cheerful as ever.
Eventually, Takara graduated from the academy as one of the top students. She became a Genin. At this time, she got her ears pierced for the first time. As a Genin, she would often train with her squad members. She would occasionally tire them out with her constant training.
One day, when out on a mission, Takara's sensei fought using puppetry. This caught the girl's interest almost immediately. It just looked like...fun, in a way. When they had gotten back from that mission, Takara begged her sensei to teach her how to use puppetry. At first, it was a bit hard to get the hang of. Still, once she had it down pat, it was a lot of fun. She had learned the skill of puppetry using her sensei's puppets.
About a week before the squad was to be entered in the Chunin exam, Takara's sensei took her to get her own puppet. She, of course, helped construct it. Over-all, the puppet was a light gray-ish tan. For hair, Takara's sensei gave her the hair from a horse's tail. Takara liked the color of it. It was a rich black, yet, a couple strands here or there were pure white. She tied it up in a bun with ribbon and used a tattered old kimono as clothes for the puppet. The face resembled that of an anbu mask, which Takara found to be a nice touch that her Sensei had suggested. She named it Shirohime--white princess--because of the few strands of white in her hair and the fact that she was clothed in a tattered kimono.
When it came time for the Chunin exams, Takara was on the edge of her seat with excitement. The written test was like hell, being she didn't have really any fighting to do. Thankfully, she was quite the smart person. (Not only that, but she was sitting next to a person who was apparently very smart and she substituted her puppet for herself, transformed herself into a fly and hovered over the kid's paper. He swatted at her once or twice, but after she dodged him a few times, he gave up.) When it came time for the final question, she was quite a bit confused on what to do. She exchanged worried looks with her team mates. They decided to leave. The stakes were way too high. To their surprise, they were moving on to the next round.
Round two--getting the scrolls. She was so thankful for her team at this point. The three of them worked like clockwork together, being they had developed a good friendship. They made it to the end of this round easily, passing with flying colors. The third round was what Takara had been waiting for-- one on one battles. She was well-trained for this part. So were the rest of her teammates.
When all was said and done, Takara ended up being the first on her team to go into battle. She didn't mind this one bit. The minute she was told she could go, she sprung into action. She started off by testing her opponent by throwing two kunai and a shuriken their way. They dodged, then attacked with a fire-style jutsu. She sighed, slightly disappointed. She was hoping for someone with a different style of battle so she could test her strength. She dodged the jutsu by throwing a log quickly across the floor and using it for a replacement technique. This irked a few chuckles from the crowd. Of course, the opponent was pretty upset by this. It was a really foolish move on her part. Not because it didn't work to get her away. Just because it was slightly unnecessary. She soon ended the battle by using her puppetry as a distraction and then 'toasting' the opponent with a fire jutsu of her own. She had boosted her teammates' confidence. Sadly, they had become cocky and both ended up losing their battles.
During the time before the final rounds, Takara worked on her Kekkei Genkai. She figured that as long as she had it, she would use it. She got burned quite a few times while she worked out her own personal flaws. She also worked her flexibility over this time. She figured that it would be best if she could move in as many ways possible. Being flexible would open up new doors for body movement. Being able to do a split easily, for example, would be very useful in battle. By the time the final round was about ready to start, she was slightly better with her Kekkei Genkai abilities, but, she still wasn't quite ready to perform it in battle. On the brighter side of things, she was very flexible.
Paired up against a member of the Hyuuga clan, Takara was a bit nervous. This member wasn't a prodigy or an heir, but, they were still a Hyuuga. This meant that they would fight Hyuuga-style, making hand-to-hand combat impossible for her, basically. She conjured up a plan in her head, though. She allowed them to charge her when the battle began, but quickly switched places with Shirohime. She then attacked from behind with a fire-style jutsu. After a few more attacks similar to this one, a few thrown kunai and a lot of dodging, the battle ended with a burned Hyuuga being carried out on a stretcher and Takara, sitting on the ground, winner of the battle, waiting for a medic to help her out with her injuries. The Hyuuga was quite the strong opponent but thankfully, Takara's reasoning and jutsu prevailed.
About a week later, Takara was proclaimed a Chunin by the Hokage. Because of this, Takara rewarded herself by getting her second piercing in her ear. She soon drifted farther and farther from her teammates. They had become so distant--mostly because of being assigned on different missions. When she would see them on the streets, however, she would stop and say hello. It wasn't as if she was completely ignoring them.
Eventually, as time went on, Takara's training schedule cut down a bit. Instead of training her heart out on a daily basis, she simply continued to work the Kekkei Genkai for an hour or so each day. At that pace, she finally worked it up to the level that she could use it in battle. She found that she could trap enemies between her magma and her puppet. This proved to be a very good battle tactic, and it became her signature move, so to speak.
After a while, Takara's skills were recognized and she was appointed a Jounin. This is when Takara got her third piercing. Now with three hoops on each year and a controlled Kekkei Genkai, Takara finds herself moving at a decent pace. She likes the fact that she knows when her body's had enough. She doesn't really push herself over the limit with too many things. If she's practicing the Magma Release, however, she can tend to over-do it a bit. This is not hard to do, being it's such a draining technique. Still, she continues to improve her battle style.
Character's Personality:
A warm and good natured person, Takara is usually rather lighthearted. She will kid around upon whim and is very sociable. Still, this does not mean that she doesn't take her duty as a shinobi seriously. Her soft and laid back attitude becomes that of a strong leader upon being assigned a mission. Needless to say, Takara really isn't one an enemy would like to mess around with.
Takara is currently looking for her "Mr. Perfect," and that isn't an over-statement. She wants to find someone, yet, her dating standards are very high. Her expectations are soaring, and no one has met it thus far. She has turned the other cheek on quite a few people already. A good combination of decent intelligence, strong and kind, decent looks and altogether caring nature is something that most girls dream of, yet, Takara won't take anything less than such. Still, she continues holding out for a hero, so to speak.
A member of the Hitamatori Clan, Takara respects the ways of her family and shows respect toward the clan elders and leader. She doesn't take family matters too lightly, yet is open and friendly with her cousins and other family members. Sixth in line to head the family, Takara takes interest in the position as clan head. Still, she doesn't covet the role. She would rather be a loyal clan member who does her duties and is respected for it than one who just won't accept their place in the family's position order. She is rather close to her cousin, Akuma. He is a good friend to her and her personality is similar to his in a few ways or so. She often tries to talk to him about taking his missions more seriously, even if her attempts are in vain.
Looks aren't everything to Takara, but, they're not nothing, either. She likes to keep herself presentable and prefers if others do so as well. Still, if she is out on a mission, keeping herself perfectly beautiful isn't usually her main priority. Well, that is, unless it's part of her mission to look her best. Still, that is usually not the case. At home, however, she tends to be quite a bit self-conscious. She doesn't let anyone know this, however, afraid that someone would use it as a weak point to pick on.
Being her mother taught her well in the lines of housework, Takara enjoys cooking quite a bit. Cleaning she is reluctant to do, yet, is quite good at it. She is quite the chef. Takara enjoys cooking for family and friends, often offering to pack lunch for her cousins when they go out on a mission or anything of the sort. She is often told that she would make a good wife and should marry by her family, but, anyone extremely close to her knows very well that she's searching for a man. She just can't seem to find one.
When it comes to a strong point, some of Takara's would probably be her abilities as a strategist, her determination and her concentration on missions. She is good at coming up with last-minute battle plans and is often the one in the group to do this on missions. If one were to disrupt her when she is explaining something, however, she may shoot them a dirty side glance.
Most of the time, however, Takara is all smiles. She chooses to see the joy in life, rather than the hardship. She enjoys trying to live life to the fullest. She tries to stay away from talking about depressing topics when not being addressed for duty. She prefers changing the subject to something more light, such as a party, or asking to prepare dinner for someone.
When all is said and done, Takara could be considered quite the deal of things. She could be called bi-polar, she could be called duty-obsessed, she could be called depression-shy. She could be called picky. She could also be called kind. She could be called generous. She could be called "the easy one to talk to." To her family and friends, however, the only thing that she could be called is simply Hitamatori Takara or Kaa-chan. That about sums it all up.

Kanashibari no jutsu | Body Freeze Jutsu
This jutsu, used by various higher-ranked shinobi, freezes one's enemy. It brings a great fear to the mind of the victom--usually the fear of dying in battle. They may vision their death, the fear stopping them and freezing them in their tracks.
{*I didn't know if the starred techniques are canon-exclusive. ^^; If they are, just say the word and I'll remove them.}

Role-Play Example:
“Misarashi Katanai”
Her crimson eyes turned upward. His hair matched the color of her eyes, yet his eyes were a dazzling green. In her opinion, they were some of the most brilliant eyes the girl had ever seen. Her gaze soon met with his. The boy was about her age, but he was much different from her. This was no ordinary boy. He wasn't even an ordinary shinobi. This boy was the Kazekage of the village hidden in the sand.
“Misarashi Katanai, that’s correct isn’t it?”
She snapped out of her awe-filled trans. "I am. And you are Sabaku no Gaara." This was obvious. She was supposed to address him as Kazekage-sama, but she didn't want to say that right away. She hesitated, then added, "our honorable Kazekage." She knew that she wanted to add the final part. It wasn't as if someone were squeezing it from her vocal cords. She just stood there, looking at him, her eyes filled with many feelings--sorrow for her parents, awe that he was there, and another feeling welling inside her, that she didn't quite know what it was yet. Oh, she could tell that the third feeling was there, yet, it was one that she couldn't identify yet. It was blurry and undeveloped.
She could tell by his eyes that in his younger years, he had faced a lot of cruel cruel circumstances. She of all people would know. While alive, her own parents rejected the way she looked, making her stay indoors as much as possible.
“Take this.”
Catching the object easily, her attention turned from gazing into his eyes to trying not to be clumsy. "Arigato," she said, an unusual tone of gratitude in her voice. She was usually always sarcastic about saying her pleases and thank yous, but this time, she could easily say it. Was it because of the fact he was Kazekage? No...
It was the fact that his eyes reminded her of herself.
She used the towel she had just caught to dry her face and her hair a bit. Her ears were no longer back in discomfort. The rain stopped? No... she could still hear it. The pattern of the drops falling to the ground. She looked up. Sand. This was defiantly his work.
She knew very well that sand was Gaara's specialty. It was working as both an umbrella for them and a wall to lean against. She really appreciated it. The rain had been getting on her last nerve. She looked at him, the corner of her mouth beginning to turn up into a smile. A small smile, but a smile, none the less. A smile that was warm, despite the bone-chilling rain.
She stood next to him, still clenching the final rose in her hand. She then saw another girl come toward them. She stood too, paying her respects to her parents. The Kazekage himself looked down to the grave. She could tell through the small glisten of his eyes that she could notice, he was feeling her pain as well. She felt like hugging him, but knew that it would be improper. She hardly knew him...
She just looked down upon the grave, a silver tear escaping her eye. She allowed it to trickle down her cheek and fall. She saw the two there, the kind girl that had walked over to the two of them to no doubt help her unstable emotions. Not only her but the kind-hearted boy who had called her name, bringing her out of her totally-miserable cloud, given her a towel to help her dry her tears and the rain, and shielded her from the rain.
She could see the grave he was from now as well. It was probably someone precious to him. Her heart ached for him, for she could tell that they were alike just by looking into his eyes for that semi-short period of time.
She looked down at the grave still. "Thank you..." she whispered as they all looked down in respect. She could feel her heart pounding with gratitude. No one had ever been that kind to her all at once. It was refreshing. It actually gave her a glisten of hope for the future.
Oh wow! I think I finally finished Takara. ^^; It took me long enough. xD Well, either way, here she is to be looked over!
