Canon Character's Full Name: Yamanaka, Ino
Question #1: How do you see the character and what do you think of it?
I personally adore Ino-- no matter how random her she can be. She has this compassion that can sometimes go unexplained. Other times she can be blunt; this is especially true in the case she notices a flaw someone may have. Another thing about Ino that makes her even more likable is her positive outlook. While she may not always have the highest self-esteem in some occasions, she'll always be willing to contribute her "pep" to a situation. Ino rarely shows her more sober side, except when Sasuke is mentioned. Similar to the first arc, Ino always urges herself to work harder, and refuses to accept defeat.
Ino also has an interest in ikebana, the art of flower arrangement. In my opinion this is small hobby has a large impact on her way of thinking. I find her analogies of people to flowers show that she is brilliant as well as observant. Well, sometimes. Like all humans [except for the ever-so loved Mary Sue! :D] she has her flaws. Ino tends to be incredibly oblivious to some things.
The most important trait of Ino's character is her large influence on Sakura. I think Ino is underestimated at times because people don't see how much she contributed to the plot through Sakura. Sakura wouldn't have been as bold as she was now or as motivated to working harder, if Ino hadn't provoked her into doing so.
In my personal opinion, I think Ino is an amazing character.
Question #2: Why do you think you can play this character properly?
Truthfully, I'm a perfectionist, and I research things like these like crazy. xD I also realize that Ino isn't ALWAYS obsessing on Sasuke and quarreling with Sakura. So I guess we could have some RP that just don't consist of Sakura VS Ino.
Beware though, this is my first forum RP for Naruto. :-[
Role-play sample:
The world seemed to be completely free of the usual chaos that cluttered the streets and polluted the now crisp cold, air. Twilight had only marked it's presence with a dull sky, and a few stars. Neji only felt gratitude toward mother nature, as he walked alone in the calm landscape.
Neji had no particular reason for venturing out into areas foreign to him but he figured he wouldn't be missed. The others had tasks of their own in need of completion and training had not struck him as a pass time for the time being, nor meditation. Neji scanned his few surrounding with nonchalant eyes. His gaze focused on the rocky soil and scarce amount of shrubbery. His eyes darted in the direction of a shack... no, maybe it was an abandoned cabin?
Neji continued toward the building unable to make out any of it's features. Using his Byuukagan would have been good practice but a waste of energy. He noticed the footprints in the ground. He scrunched down to study the footprint closer; they appeared to be fresh. Neji stood upright again, and proceeded to the building with a new speed.
He was welcomed with a pleasant curb appeal, and a skill-fully crafted windows and a sturdy door. Neji allowed himself in, sounding a hollow bell. The floor boards were stained with tea-stains and light trailed of steam escaped from the cups of the few other people sitting serenely in their seats, undisturbed by Neji's entrance.
Neji hesitated for only a second--regretting he had wasted even a second of his time--and took a table. Neji closed his eyes and a thought for a minute, Neji-san! Neji-san! Are you ready for the day the lies ahead! Come on Neji-san, help me prepare to train! Neji quickly re-opened his eyes. He sighed, realizing he'd never escape reality and it's nuisances.
Neji flexed his fingers, he stared down at his hands. Cuts and bruises cascaded up his palm and spiraled around his wrist. Neji pulled his sleeve over arm. Sustaining was no problem for Neji; the challenge simply was more than appreciated and proved to be amusing.
Neji's urge to leave turned on and off-- so much, he loved the setting, yet, he felt anxious with all the time he was killing. Neji randomly turned his head, and scanned the room once more. Nothing special; just the average tea shop he concluded. As he focused his eyes back onto their fixed position Neji caught glimpse of a familiar looking figure. Neji strained his eyes to identify the person without attracting any attention to himself.
