-> Meh, this is the old Hinata and I've been here!
Hinata Hyuuga
Question #1: How do you see the character and what do you think of it?
Hinata is a shy, gentle girl that has been repressed since an early age. Great things have always been expected of her and unfortunately, it seems that she never quite met the demands. Recently, a new passion has grown within her to become a Shinobi. This was partly for her family, partly for her friends and partly for herself. She is a somewhat naive person and still rather soft-spoken, but she puts her best effort into everything she does. In the future I believe she will grow to accomplish something great. As of now, however, she is socially awkward and hopelessly determined.
Question #2: Why do you think you can play this character properly?
Well, I've done it before, I can do it again.
Here is a section from the roleplay I am doing right now. It is a sort of real-time RP, a game called Furcadia. I am the character Kahsy Lumetta ConBri:
Remy LeBeau was sat up on the roof. chin rested atop an open palm, free hand lifting a cig to his lips every so often, smoke entering his mouth and leaving through his nostrils. There was noone else around, and nothing interesting seemed to be happening. A mug of coffee, now cold, rested on the table, along with a folded up newspaper.
Kahsy Lumetta ConBri thought she might catch the afternoon breeze seeing how she couldn't seem to find any leads. A few papers were collected into a folder that rested atop her usual textbook. She seemed to have this habit of carrying some dry book around and cracking it open almost every possible second. On the menu today was a book containing very complex scientific principles having to do with weather patterns. That was.... a bit random? Upon seeing the other, Kahsy raised a brow and paused in her step. "Good afternoon," She voiced politely.
Remy LeBeau turned his head to get a quick view of Kahsy, "Afternoon." he'd watch her for a second, taking another drag of his cig before flicking it off over the side of the roof. He'd turn in his seat, leaning back against the table and resting his elbows on the wooden surface. He'd smile lightly, tilting his head, "Can I help you, p'tit, or you jus' up here fo' de view as well?" he'd ask, one leg lifting to rest an ankle on top of his knee.
Kahsy Lumetta ConBri nods, "Actually, I had planned upon coming here for the view, but it is rather fortunate that I see you here." She furrows her brow slightly, "Because mob mentality often creates panic situations in a high school setting, the staff tell us very little in regards to classified situations. I understand this, but now I have reason to believe that Martin Wellstreet, a student here, was somehow detained." She continues in this business-like manner, "He was supposed to visit his uncle a time ago, though I have reason to believe that he never arrived. Thus, I wish to ask others what they know of the situation. I suspect that an anti-mutant organization or perhaps a research facility abducted him."
Remy LeBeau thought for a few seconds, raising an eyebrow, "Wellstreet? I thought he ain't been around here fo' a while." He'd shrug lightly. He didn't really have much to do with the students. Not the good, rule-abiding ones, anyway, "I'm sorry, but I ain't got a clue on dat one. Usually I jus' figure a kid's gone back home if I ain't seen 'em 'round fo' a while. Unless I get word from de rest of de staff that somethin' is up. An' i'm not sure I got told anythin' like dis." Then again, Remy wasn't really around as much as everyone else. And he made a habit out of ignoring phone calls when he's away from the academy. Unless he knows it's going to be urgent, of course.
Kahsy Lumetta ConBri averts her gaze for a moment to let a sigh pass her lips. She voices vaguely, "I see," Before taking a moment's pause and finding the other's gaze again. "Is there any way I can make contact with someone who would have such knowledge? If it is indeed true that this issue has not yet been explored, though I doubt this is the case, I believe it should be investigated immediately. Martin has an interesting sort of power- it is spontaneous at times, and thus, most likely popular for research." Her gaze, though eloquent, seemed rather cold, though of course these negative sentiments were not directed toward the other.
Remy LeBeau rose to his feet. He lit up a smoke, before hiding his hands away in his trench coat pockets, "Well, you coul' try talkin' to Tyme... But to be honest, Johnny would be de one to talk to on dis one. De guy actually gets things done 'round here." He exhaled smoke as he sighed, "Tyme seems to jus' keep herself locked away... ever since Jade left us." He'd shrug lightly, moving over to lean against the railings, "I'm willin' to help, but if he really has gone missin', an' nobody else knows about it, then we're gonna need more than de two of us lookin' for him."
Kahsy Lumetta ConBri crosses her arms over her book and replies, "That is the problem. Because the staff rarely say anything, I do not know who knows of the situation and who doesn't. Even Martin's best friend simply said that he would ask if he didn't have responses to his text messages (to Martin) in a few days." She takes a moment to look over the campus from her current position. "I have seen the conditions in which a mutant would be kept if one were to be kidnapped. It is distressing that things move so slowly here." She meets the other's gaze, "I dislike the fact, but at the moment, I do not have enough information or understanding to uncover this."
Remy LeBeau nodded lightly, "You don' have to tell me 'bout de conditions. Trust me, I've seen it all before. Ain't no place for any mutant, let alone a quiet guy like Martin." He didn't know Martin too well, but he'd observed him as he patrolled the corridors, etc, and he never really saw Martin being as open and loud as most of the students around here, "Don't worry about it fo' now. There's a security meetin' happenin' soon. If there's no word on Martin before then, i'll get Johnny to arrange a search... Of course, i'll keep you updated, an' since you're obviously bothered by de whole thing i'll make sure you get a spot on de search party." He'd take a long drag of his cig, "Then agin, I don't want to be gettin' ahead of myself on dis... When did he actually leave here?"
Kahsy Lumetta ConBri meets the other with a collected, determined gaze, "This is the sort of mentality that allows people to remain missing for so long. If we can gather people now and understand things now, then there is a greater chance that Martin will be alive when we arrive." She composes herself and adds on more practically, "I do not know when he left, which is another problem. I would like access to such records as there is no telling what sort of response I will receive from his room mates."
And this is as far as we have gotten!
I hope I didn't remain inactive for too long, sorry for the confusion. -.-
