Nostalgia was a strange thing. Just by walking down an old street, eating an favorite food from when one was a child, or even simply cleaning out one's closet, someone could be filled with memories of the past--the good or the bad. For this jounin, the current reason of her memories coursing through her was walking by an old park. A remembering smile lit her lips as she paused a moment to look it over. It was childish, but she had the sudden urge to just lay down on the grass and look up at the clouds. As a kid, this had been one of her favorite places. It wasn't far away from her home, but it was just far enough away to give her that kind of freedom that every child longs for--some more than others. Takara had been a bit of a rebel, but not the kind who would try to run away from home. This park was good enough for her.
A blush crossed her cheeks and she shook her head in an aggravated manner. "Kya! I probably look like some kind of grandma looking over some abandoned building that used to be her favorite tea shop or something! Snap out of it, Takara," she thought sharply to herself, looking around herself to make sure that no one had seen her senseless daydreaming. Good...the coast was clear. Some people would never have let her live that kind of thing down.
Continuing her walk, the kunoichi realized something--she had absolutely no idea as to where she was going. To some, this would pose as a bit of a problem. She was used to it, though. This had happened more than one time. As usual, she decided to just allow her feet to take her wherever they felt like taking her. She could easily find her way home from wherever she ended up. Whether she would ironically end up wandering right into one of her clan members' back yard, or she would find a familiar trail, she would find her way back. That's how it had always been.
Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she walked one of the many streets in Konoha. There wasn't a lot to do today. She had been given a day off of missions...so she was therefore bored out of her mind. That was the main reason that she decided to go for a walk around town. It was something she didn't just have the free time to do a lot anymore. A lot of things that she used to do in her free time had been put on hold as soon as she became appointed a jounin, actually. This included reading--a popular pass-time for anyone with a decent mind about them. Takara would have been home reading right now, but she had just finished the last chapter of that novel she had been reading for a while now.
Okay. Now she was getting bored. Lack of better things to do ate away at her. Well...she always had the option to turn around. She could go home and train for a while more. For some reason though, that didn't sound appealing right now. Maybe because it was her day off? This was the one day out of many that she just put her duties aside and tried to relax before the next mission would be assigned. Boredom was something that wasn't easily cured--especially in someone like her--and right now, it was overwhelming.
